From a Small Farm in Vietnam to a Global Produce Network—A Journey Built on Hope, Hard Work, and Family

Long before CTD Distribution existed, the journey began on a small farm in Da Lat, Vietnam—where days started early and ended only when the work was done. Working side by side with family, the values of hard work, resilience, and respect for the land were deeply rooted from the very beginning.

In 1996, that life changed with a move to Los Angeles in search of something more—a chance to build a better future. Like many immigrant stories, the road forward wasn’t easy, but it was driven by determination, sacrifice, and hope.

The produce industry became that path. Starting in transportation provided a firsthand look at how fresh food moves and the people who make it possible. Over time, that experience grew into a deeper understanding—not just of the business, but of the importance of quality, trust, and strong relationships. Recognizing a growing demand for specialty Asian produce sparked a bigger vision.

In 2009, that vision took its first real step inside a small warehouse. Through long hours, hands-on dedication, and a commitment to doing things the right way, lasting relationships were built—one farmer, one customer, and one delivery at a time. What began as something small steadily grew into something much greater.

That growth became CTD Distribution—a company named after three children, serving as a constant reminder of the purpose behind it all. Family is not just part of the story—it is the foundation of everything.

Today, CTD Distribution sources and delivers produce from around the world, but its core values remain unchanged. It is still a business built on trust, relationships, and the belief that success is meant to be shared.

Because in the end, this isn’t just about produce.
It’s about people. It’s about opportunity.
And it’s about paying it forward—so others can build their own story,
  just like this one.

At CTD, you’re not just a customer—you’re part of the family.
