About Us
From a small farm in Da Lat, Vietnam to a global produce network, the story of CTD Distribution is rooted in hope, hard work, and family. Long before the company was founded, the journey began in the fields, where early mornings and long days working alongside family instilled lasting values of resilience, dedication, and respect for the land. In 1996, that journey took a new direction with a move to Los Angeles in search of greater opportunity. Like many immigrant stories, the path forward was not easy, but it was fueled by determination, sacrifice, and the vision of building a better future.
The produce industry became that path. Beginning in transportation offered a firsthand understanding of how fresh food moves and the people behind it. Over time, that experience evolved into a deeper appreciation for quality, trust, and the importance of strong, lasting relationships. Recognizing the growing demand for specialty Asian produce inspired a bigger vision, one that would soon take shape.
In 2009, that vision became reality in a small warehouse. Through long hours, hands-on commitment, and a focus on doing things the right way, the business grew steadily, building relationships one farmer, one customer, and one delivery at a time. What started small eventually became CTD Distribution, a company named after three children and driven by a deep sense of purpose. Family is not just part of the story, it is the foundation of everything.
Today, CTD Distribution sources and delivers produce from around the world, while staying true to the values it was built on: trust, integrity, and meaningful relationships. Because in the end, this business is about more than produce, it’s about people, opportunity, and giving back so others can create their own path forward.
